Through Youth For Understanding (YFU) educational exchange programs, young people from around the world live with a host family in another country, immerse themselves in the local community, and build bridges between cultures and countries. As these young people discover new worlds and make lasting friendships, they not only learn about another culture and a new

language, they also gain perspective on the world and develop a stronger sense of self. Through educational exchanges in over 50 countries worldwide, YFU believes this full immersion in a new culture, school and family is the most effective means of international education, and will continue to be relevant for generations to come.
